These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Solar Tech, including domestic and commercial solar PV, battery storage and electrical services. By accepting a quotation or instructing Solar Tech to proceed with work, you agree to these terms.
All quotations are prepared based on the information available at the time, including any site survey carried out.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days. If the scope of work changes or additional work is requested, any changes to the price will be discussed and agreed with the customer before proceeding.
A deposit may be required to confirm an installation and secure equipment. The required deposit and payment schedule will be outlined in your quotation or invoice.
Remaining balances are payable according to the agreed payment schedule.
Solar Tech will carry out all installation work with appropriate care and skill and in accordance with applicable industry standards.
Customers must provide reasonable access to the property on agreed installation dates and let us know about any known issues that could affect the work.
If anything unexpected is discovered during installation that requires additional work, this will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.
We will always aim to complete installations within the timeframe agreed with the customer.
Occasionally, installation dates may need to change due to weather, equipment availability, network requirements or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will keep the customer informed and arrange the next suitable date.
Solar PV systems are designed based on the property, system specification and information available during the quotation and survey process.
Projected electricity generation and savings are estimates based on expected system performance. Actual results will naturally vary depending on factors such as weather conditions, electricity usage, shading and energy tariffs.
Where an installation is eligible for an SEAI grant, Solar Tech will provide the relevant installation documentation and support required as part of the process.
Grant eligibility, grant values and final approval are subject to the applicable SEAI scheme requirements in place at the time of application.
The equipment included with your installation will be detailed in your quotation.
If a particular product becomes unavailable before installation, we will discuss a suitable equivalent alternative with you before making any significant substitution.
Solar Tech stands behind the quality of our installation work.
Details of the applicable workmanship warranty will be provided with your quotation or installation documentation.
Solar panels, inverters, batteries and other equipment may also include manufacturer warranties, which are provided in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s warranty terms.
If you experience an issue with equipment supplied and installed by Solar Tech, please contact us and we will assist with identifying and resolving the issue.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an installation, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where equipment has already been specially ordered or costs have been incurred specifically for the project, these may need to be taken into account when arranging a cancellation.
For domestic customers, nothing in these terms affects any cancellation or consumer rights provided under Irish law.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have authority to approve work at the property and for informing Solar Tech of any relevant restrictions or known issues.
Where planning permission, landlord approval, management company approval or another third-party permission is required, this should be confirmed before installation unless Solar Tech has specifically agreed to handle it.
Solar Tech will take reasonable care while working at your property.
Any existing roofing, structural or electrical issues identified during a survey or installation will be brought to the customer’s attention where relevant to the work.
Additional remedial work that falls outside the original quotation will be discussed before proceeding.
Where required, Solar Tech will complete or assist with the relevant documentation associated with connecting your solar installation to the electricity network.
Applications, approvals and processing times handled by ESB Networks remain subject to their procedures and timelines.
Solar Tech is responsible for carrying out the services included in the agreed quotation with reasonable care and skill.
We will work with customers to resolve any issue relating to work carried out by Solar Tech.
We are not responsible for faults or damage caused by unauthorised alterations, third-party work, misuse or circumstances unrelated to our installation.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
Personal information provided to Solar Tech will be handled in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data protection legislation, including GDPR.
Further information about how we collect and use personal information can be found in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Nothing contained within these terms limits the statutory rights available to consumers under Irish law.
