Project Overview

Solar Tech was appointed to design, supply, install, test and commission a new sports floodlighting system at Ballybay Pearse Brothers GAA. The project was developed to provide high-quality illumination for training sessions, matches and club activities, enabling the facility to maximise pitch usage throughout the year while improving safety, visibility and energy efficiency.

Working closely with the client, our experienced team delivered a complete turnkey lighting solution to the highest electrical and sporting standards.

Scope of Works

  • Design and installation of a complete sports floodlighting system
  • Supply and installation of floodlighting columns complete with T-bars
  • Installation of high-performance LED sports floodlights
  • Installation of mains power cabling to all lighting columns
  • Installation of control cabling and isolation equipment within each column
  • Provision of all specialist plant, machinery and equipment required to complete the project
  • Testing, commissioning and certification of the completed installation

The completed floodlighting system provides exceptional illumination for training sessions and competitive matches, allowing Ballybay Pearse Brothers GAA to extend pitch usage throughout the year. The new LED lighting installation improves visibility, safety and playing conditions for players, officials and spectators while delivering a reliable, energy-efficient solution with reduced long-term maintenance requirements.
