Project Overview

Solar Tech successfully completed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a 61.65kWp commercial solar PV system at Dundrummans Farm as part of an NC7 Mini Generation Application. Designed to reduce operational energy costs and improve long-term sustainability, the installation enables the farm to generate a significant proportion of its electricity from renewable energy.

The roof-mounted system combines high-performance Astro Energy N-Type solar panels with Huawei hybrid inverter technology, delivering maximum energy generation, reliable performance and efficient system monitoring.

Scope of Works

  • Design and installation of a 61.65kWp commercial solar PV system
  • Supply and installation of Astro Energy N-Type 450W solar panels
  • Installation of Huawei hybrid inverters
  • Roof-mounted installation on sheet metal roofing
  • Installation of a new energy meter and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Completion of the NC7 Mini Generation application
  • 50kVA Maximum Export Capacity (MEC) approval and ESB network updates
  • Testing, commissioning and certification in accordance with current industry standards

The completed solar PV installation now provides Dundrummans Farm with a reliable source of clean, renewable electricity, significantly reducing reliance on grid power and lowering ongoing operating costs. The successful completion of the NC7 Mini Generation process and ESB network upgrades ensures the system operates efficiently while supporting the farm’s long-term energy and sustainability objectives.
