Project Overview

Solar Tech was appointed to design, supply, install, test and commission a new sports floodlighting system for the playing pitch at Harps GFC. The project included all associated civil, structural and electrical works required to deliver a high-performance lighting solution that meets the demands of training sessions and competitive fixtures.

Our experienced team managed the project from initial design through to final commissioning, ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations and sports lighting standards.

Scope of Works

  • Design and installation of a complete sports floodlighting system
  • Supply and installation of 30 Disano Illuminazione Forum 2.0 LED floodlights
  • Installation of new lighting columns, cabling and protective devices
  • Removal and environmentally responsible disposal of the existing lighting infrastructure
  • Installation of sports lighting to the junior playing pitch in accordance with approved lighting designs
  • Testing, commissioning and certification of all lighting, control gear and electrical systems
  • Provision of all access equipment, lifting equipment and plant required to complete the installation

The completed floodlighting installation provides Harps GFC with a modern, energy-efficient LED sports lighting system that delivers excellent visibility for players, coaches and spectators. The new installation extends pitch availability throughout the year, improves safety during evening use and provides reliable, long-term performance with reduced maintenance requirements.
