Project Overview

Solar Tech completed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a 5kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Trim Resource Centre. The project was designed to reduce electricity costs, improve energy efficiency and support the centre’s long-term sustainability goals through the generation of clean, renewable energy.

The installation incorporated high-performance solar technology, battery storage and smart energy management, providing the facility with greater energy independence while maximising the use of generated solar power.

Scope of Works

  • Supply and installation of a 5kWp solar PV system
  • Installation of 12 high-efficiency solar panels
  • Supply and installation of a Huawei hybrid inverter
  • Installation of Huawei battery storage system
  • Roof mounting system and all associated fixings
  • DC and AC cabling, electrical containment and protection devices
  • Installation of isolators and balance-of-system components
  • Testing, commissioning and verification in accordance with current regulations
  • Customer handover, certification and guidance on system monitoring

The completed solar PV installation enables Trim Resource Centre to generate clean, renewable electricity while reducing ongoing energy costs and reliance on the national grid. With integrated Huawei battery storage, surplus solar energy can be stored for use when required, improving overall system efficiency and helping the facility achieve greater long-term energy independence.
